Through more than 40 years in business, with more than 30 of those spent working with high net worth clients, Tom Cohn has discovered that creativity, flexible thinking and a balance of expertise and vision give him the perspective to…
- See opportunities other advisors may not uncover.
- Offer ideas to clients and advisors that can change the way they think about the transfer of wealth.
- Use extensive knowledge of the wide range of applications of life insurance to help solve previously unrecognized problems in unanticipated ways.
Tom’s practice is focused on addressing issues that arise in the transfer of wealth to future generations and philanthropic organizations. He has spent more than 40 years counseling clients on the value of life insurance in their planning, and more than 30 years serving as a resource to sophisticated professional advisors designing strategies to maximize their clients’ estate plans.
Tom’s industry leadership is measured by his more than 25 years as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table’s select Top of the Table. However, he measures his success by client and advisor relationships of more than three decades’ duration.
Tom has pursued the expertise required to add value to the most sophisticated plans. His designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®), while essential, provide only the framework of his advanced financial education. Through years of collaboration with exceptional legal, accounting and financial service professionals Tom has developed his innovative, thoughtful approach to working with our select clientele.
Tom holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri; and is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) and the St. Louis Estate Planning Council. He is licensed to serve clients in 30 states and the District of Columbia. He holds Series 1, 26 and 63 licenses.
